At Dublin Animal Hospital, we encourage the physical fitness of you and your dog. Take advantage of the beautiful city we live in and take your pooch along to these great dog-friendly destinations. While they can be a great place for your dog to run off that excess energy and meet other furry friends, remember that only dogs with current vaccinations, and puppies over 16 weeks of age should go to a dog park. Garden Of The Dogs Park: Located east of Rock Ledge Ranch, south of Gateway Rd. Palmer Park Dog Park and Palmer Park (Yucca Flats): Fenced in softball field that has a special entrance. Features include bags for pick-ups, benches for owners, and human and doggie water fountains. Anywhere from 10-50 dogs running and playing together at one time.South on Acadamy to Maizeland, take a right, then take a right into the entrance of Palmer Park (about one block), one more block and the Dog Park is on your right. Yucca Flats - Hiking area allows dogs to be off leash if kept under control. Red Rock Canyon Open Space: Located southeast and up the hill from the parking lot. Rampart Dog Park: Fenced area with convenient parking that includes benches, trees, disposal bags, and water. Access for the disabled. Hours May through October: Daily 5 a.m.-11 p.m.; all other months 5 a.m. - 9 p.m. Located at 8270 Lexington Dr. Directions: From the intersection of Lexington Drive and N. Union Boulevard, go north on Lexington, then turn left into the park entrance. Cheyenne Meadows Park: (South portion). Location: Native grass area off Charmwood Dr. and Canoe Creek Dr. Bear Creek Park: A short trail set aside from the rest of Bear Creek as an off-leash dog park. Located on 21st Street. Directions: East on 21st Street. Drive up the large hill, at the light at the bottom turn right into the parking lot. |
